LOOK OBJECTIVELY AT FILMS – PAHLAJ NIHALANI

Expressing his concern about TV and print journalists imposing their personal opinion of a newly released film on unsuspecting cine-goers, the President of Association of Motion Picture & Television Producers Pahlaj Nihalani urged them to look positively at the work of film artistes. He was delivering the convocation address to the students of University of Media Arts’ Asian Academy of Film & Television. Describing filmmaking as a beautiful profession to be in, Pahlaj Nihalani said above all a film professional should be a good human being. Lauding the efforts of Prof. Sandeep Marwah for promoting film and television production in north India, Pahlaj Nihalani offered all possible help to the men and women trained by the academy. Addressing the students the diplomat from Turkmenistan Dr. Chinar Rustomova said that educational institution should be treated as a holy place. She hoped that the nationals of her country will soon be taking advantage of the training opportunities offered by the academy. The bright Indian Police Service Officer Piyush Mordia called upon the producers to make films and television programmes on socially relevant subjects. Speaking on this occasion the well known journalist Santosh Bhartiya remarked that the television journalism scene is all set for a major change and advised the new entrants to this profession to equip themselves adequately to meet its requirement.
