Asian Academy of Film & Television trained actresses Swati & Hena accompanied by the Producer/Director of the feature film ’ Pyar-Ki-Dhun’ visited their alma-mater to formally express their gratitude to Prof. Sandeep Marwah and others. Addressing the students Swati with several degrees in business management , said that there is no business like ’ Show-business’ .
She added that the training she received at AAFT was extremely, helpful to her in acting for the camera.Hena choosing to take to acting after studying Television Drama and Media Arts in London, joined AAFT to receive training in the art of verbal and non-verbal communications. Fielding a volley of questions, Hena admitted that initially she did suffer from the ’ camera-fright’ .She was of the opinion that an actor has be to be above all a good human being in his/her day to day life.In a forthright and forceful address, the talented film Producer/Director Samiran Das Gupta stated that his formal training in film making and meticulour planning helped him in completing the production and post production work of ’ Pyar Ki Dhun’ on schedule and to avoid wasteful expenditure.Explaining the finer aspects of the artistic and business angles of film-making, this creative genius lamented that due attention to the recording and mixing of sound which are all important to a film, does not receive due attention in the Indian film industry.He disclosed that this film has been mostly shot in the most exclusive locales of London .He also mentioned that this is the only film in the world which contains the scenes of the rare Millenium night celebrations on december 31, 1999 in London.Samiran Das Gupta was proud of the superb overall technical quality of the visuals and the sound track of his megaventure which has been made possible by using the state of the art techniques and technology.Asian Academy is indeed proud of all of its for illustrious alumni Swati, Hena, Nicolas and Anita who have played lead roles in this film along with Milind Sonam and half a dozen celebrities including Nirmal Pande,Saeed Jaffrey, Prem Chopra and Satish Shah. ’ Pyar- Ki Dhun’ is indeed a landmark and a milestone in the history of Asian Academy of Film & Television.
