The 39th training session of the AAFT was inaugurated by the former Union Minister Arif Mohammad Khan and also formally released a book titled Abhinay penned by Prof Sandeep Marwah on this occasion. Addressing the students and the other invitees‚ the former minister said that the ongoing war against Iraq was a one sided affair and against the norms of humanity. Adding that India had more than a hundred TV channels today and the kind of programs to be shown were to be decided the responsible representatives from the media.

Laxmi Narayan Goel‚ Director Zee Telefilms said that India was far ahead of others in the field of media and broadcasting. Speaking further he added that this required large number of trained reporters‚ cameramen and directors and that this need could be fulfilled by best training institutes alone. He also said that he was feeling proud to address the students of such a world renowned institute as AAFT from super film stars and directors would surely reach the world of cinema. He also said that he had no words to describe the contribution made by Prof. Sandeep Marwah. Suparna Diwan suggested to the students to refrain from using the synthetic chemicals for make up but use only the natural resources for the human body itself was a factory of its own for this purpose. Director MTV Aman Mangat suggested to explore further opportunities to make programs of an international quality.
