Dr. Sandeep Marwah Inaugurates ‘Bharat Sanskriti Yatra’ in Dubai Celebrating 50 Years of India–UAE Cultural Relations. Dubai / New Delhi, September 2025: In a historic celebration of India–UAE cultural ties, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and Cultural Ambassador of India, inaugurated the festival of Indian Classical Music & Dance – Bharat Sanskriti Yatra at Al Ajyal Hall, Creek Park, Children’s City, Dubai. The festival was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of 50 years of India–UAE cultural relations, the event supported by Indo–UAE Film and Cultural Forum.

The spectacular event, led by Pandit Prosenjit Poddar, showcased the rich diversity of Indian heritage through classical dance, drama, and music, representing different regions and states of India. The program was curated by Harmonica FZC UAE and Mudra Dance Academy, Dubai UAE, captivating audiences with the timeless charm of Indian performing arts.

The evening was graced by eminent personalities including Shri Pabitra Kumar Majumdar, Consul, Consulate General of India, Mrs. Reena Marwah, renowned dress designer, Sri Subhasish Kanjilal, Dr. Kakoli Kanjilal, and Sri Ajit Roy of the UAE Chapter, among other distinguished guests.

In recognition of his relentless efforts in promoting art, culture, and international relations, Dr. Sandeep Marwah was conferred with the prestigious International Cultural Legend Award during the festival. Adding to the grandeur of the evening, a biography on Dr. Marwah titled “Ananta Ki Rah Par Ek Safar – Ek Unkahi Kahani Ka Kathan” (Hindi) was also formally released, marking a memorable moment of celebration and honor.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said: “India and UAE have shared an extraordinary journey of friendship, culture, and cooperation. Art, music, and dance are the strongest bridges of understanding between nations, and it is a privilege to inaugurate this grand festival at such a historic milestone of our cultural ties.”

The festival concluded on a high note, with resounding applause for the performances and appreciation for the cultural collaboration between India and UAE, reaffirming the strength of people-to-people connections nurtured through art and heritage.
